Kim Reyes

Yoga found Kim in 2015 when she was struggling regulating her mental health, affecting school and relationships. Becoming stronger mentally and physically through her practice, she stepped away from pursuing a Mathematics/Economics degree and, instead, completed a 200hr Power Teacher Training through CorePower Yoga in 2016. She taught Foundational (Iyengar-based) Yoga, Yoga Sculpt (Yoga-Pilates fusion), and Power Vinyasa both in-person and virtually for 3 years before stepping back from teaching to dive deeper into her personal yoga study and practice, refining her experience as a student and offerings as a teacher. Now, she offers—all virtually—group and 1-1 yoga sessions (Yin, Restorative, and Reiki) and workshops/courses (chakras, 8 limbs, etc.).

Kim's recovery from mental and physical dis-ease through yoga motivates her to foster a safe and supported space for others to practice, so that they may uncover their own sense of ease and bliss as well.

A student of and for life, Kim studies and practices Ashtanga Yoga with Jörgen Christiansson (under the lineage of guruji Pattabhi Jois), and Kirtan/Bhakti Yoga and Yin Yoga with Erika Van Gemeren. In addition, she is studying Psychology, Philosophy, and Religion at SFSU.
